Creating an interactive booking experience
Creating an experience that connects foraging and fine dining, inspired by the seasons
Blending a dining experience with an eco-conscious user persona was a fascinating challenge. Working on, and iterating both the experience and the website allowed me to really weave the ideas together.
A low impact experience needs a low impact design language
My research into websites that emphasised nature or outdoor connections revealed a consistent pattern: a green colour scheme and a relaxed, colloquial tone. Given the premium nature of my foraging experience, visuals had reflect its low-impact ethos.

Adapting an outdoor physical experience for the web.
The target user wants for a slower, more thoughtful retail experience.
Letting users find their experience
Taking inspiration from the 'Found' aspect of foraging, adding interactive features to the website helps me bring the experience to the user Encouraging users to engage, search, and gather information effectively translates the physical experience to the digital space.
Is it user-friendly?
During testing, some users struggled with the site's experimental interactive parts, while others liked them. After testing, I understood where users had trouble and added helpful hints.
A website not doing what you’d expect is a risk. The context of users foraging and discovering an experience helps to mitigate that risk.
Design dictated by the seasons
By following nature's cycle, the design feels real and helps people feel more connected to the environment. The experiences are led by nature's schedule, not ours, and the design shows that.
